WINE & TAPAS WEEK

As an original creator of the event, I found it fitting to create a publication to encompass everything you need to know about the wine and entertainment scene in the Charlotte area. The Wine & Tapas Magazine is a semi-annual publication to promote Charlotte’s Wine & Tapas Week in the Spring and Fall. I handled everything from the creative direction, design, copywriting, advertising sales and distribution.  The magazine design and supplemental marketing pieces are a colorful and playful preface to the weeklong event featuring Charlotte’s finest restaurants offering a tour of the world in the heart of the Queen City.

PLAYA RESORTS – 8-PANEL WEDDING BROCHURE

Handled all photography and creative direction under Cohort Creative, along with the production specifications that ensure the highest-quality paper stock and printing. Also accounted for necessary mailing capabilities, cost-effective print runs, and custom folding and insertions.

This eight-panel brochure was designed to showcase the wedding opportunities at The Royal, Gran Caribe, and Gran Porto resorts of Mexico. We developed and produced a sophisticated brochure, using elegant fonts and custom photography to engage readers in all that they can expect in a Playa Resort wedding.

PLAYA RESORTS – 8-PANEL GATEFOLD BROCHURE

Playa Hotels & Resorts was looking for an elegant, upscale brochure to highlight its three all-inclusive properties of The Royal, Gran Caribe, and Gran Porto resorts of Mexico. This piece combines brilliant photography and sophisticated design to bring the best features of these resorts to the forefront. Now, sales teams have the materials to sell, and Playa Hotels & Resorts has a piece that beautifully captures its amenities and scenery.

HYATT ZIVA RESORT – NATIONAL MAGAZINE AD

Under Cohort Creative we created targeted messages and imagery based on each publication and its demographics and readers’ buying behavior. Ads are compelling, and copy is inspired, concise, and strategically developed to drive action. Responses are tracked and success is measurable – for every ad, in every issue.

In compliance with Hyatt Ziva brand guidelines, we developed a new design for the re-opening of Hyatt’s Ziva Los Cabos resort after it was damaged by a hurricane in 2015. Coordinated with simultaneous postcard drops and email blasts, this ad features the current promotion and drew people back to the new and improved resort.

PLAYA RESORTS – DIRECT INVITATION MAILER

This was a very successful direct mailer designed for Playa Resorts International to grab the attention of the recipient as an invitation rather than a screaming advertisement. They wanted a very high end clean feel which I took up a notch with gold foil accents.

THE PLAN USA MEDIA – FULL BRANDING PACKAGE

The Plan is a multi city online media concept that has not launched yet that is to host all the happenings of major cities across the U.S. The Plan contacted me for a full branding package. One of the tag lines we created is “What’s the Plan?” playing off that tag line I created the a dual purpose icon of a “P” for “Plan” and a question mark. This is going to be such an informative brand when it launches. 

PATRON MODERN MEXICAN – FULL BRANDING PACKAGE

Patron modern Mexican contacted me to develop a full branding package for their new, high end, fast causal Mexican restaurant. We kept colors and fonts modern, a nautical color palette, with and elegant theme. This exciting new concept is set to launch in the Charlotte metro area in the fall of 2019.   

SWEET ENVY GOURMET COTTON CANDY – FULL BRANDING PACKAGE

This was such a fun and whimsical brand. I was tasked with developing a brand that would grab the attention of brides to be and anyone who was planning an event. I absolutely love the mystic creature, the mermaid and suggested to the client we have a mermaid as part of our branding and name the newly founded company Sweet Envy. Cotton candy flows like a mermaid glides through the sea. The mermaid is hand drawn with the shape of the mermaid acting as the “S” in the logo. It was such a fun experience to be a part of this brand from the ground up.

MESA CATERING – FULL BRANDING PACKAGE

Over the years, Mesa Catering has set the bar as Charlotte’s premium catering company because of their dedication to providing high-quality catering and superior service at a great price that falls within any budget. Whether an intimate gathering or a large corporate party, it is their goal to create a food experience that will exceed expectations, from start to finish.

Mesa came to me after a rebrand gone wrong by another firm. The word Mesa, meaning table in Spanish is where we started when developing their brand. The logo is crisp and fun and has a clear message of “Bringing more to the table than just food.” I also developed all of their website copy, a new responsive website, tag line, business cards and uniforms. Mesa was so happy they have recently contracted ME to develop their new menu and leave behind collateral.

PURE PIZZA

When I met Juli Ghazi of Pure Pizza, she had just opened second location in Plaza Midwood and she was looking to reach the community and increase her social media engagement. Since taking them on as a client in the Fall of 2015, I have created print collateral, launched a massive viral PR campaign, managed social media accounts, and helped Pure launch their Sustainable Saturday markets.
